2023 Poster Artist

Kira MagCalen is an artist and illustrator out of Denver, Colorado. Her work focuses on modern folk art, blending video games, street art and technology with traditional folk characters and mediums. She is most known for her Honest Monsters, a series of illustrations exploring uncomfortable emotions through colorful creatures


For the 2023 Fringe Poster, she explored themes of entertainment through the lens of birdwatching; the performers are in a natural state of joy and expression that a curious explorer can take part in just by their observation.
