Hi, My Name Is....

Have you ever just hated the person you lived with? Have you ever been trapped in the same body as that person?

Well, Katy and Katherine have, and they are desperate to get out of this life-long lease agreement!!

An anthropomorphic exploration of the internal self-talk we all do, "Hi, My Name is...." examines what it means to be truly ourselves, when we have no clue what that means. After a lifetime of constant bickering, trapped together in the same cramped space, Katy and Katherine decide the best thing would be to call a Vote, and argue to an impartial audience which personality should get to be the dominant one.

As each tries to sway the audience, they unwittingly reveal the contradictory mess that lives inside all of us. The two characters often interrupt each other, each telling parts of the stories as they see it, and interacting with each other in ways that seems as though they don't know the audience is there.

Through frank, and honest storytelling, Katy and Katherine unravel and reveal what it means to be a broken person, struggling to determine what it means to be “Me”.

"Hi, My Name Is..." is one of those rare and raw pieces of theatre you won't easily forget. Author/Performer Katy White is shocking, funny, but ultimately brave as we watch her negotiate with herself about what it means to be fully and wholly human in 2022. Not for those who are sensitive about language, sex or assault.
