Soapbox Therapy

Welcome to Soapbox Therapy, the comedy piano show written and performed by a psychotherapist.

Using a range of musical styles, one woman-turned-mental-health-champion will boldly attempt to address society’s biggest mental health confusions. Topics include anxiety, unhealthy work cultures, aging, ghosting, narcissism, addiction, impulse control, and more. Soapbox Therapy posits that mental health “issues” resolve when we learn to embrace authenticity, vulnerability, and community– a process which, thankfully, doesn’t always need to be heavy.

Artist Bio:

Britt Mahrer (MA, LPC) is a comedy pianist and therapist in Denver, CO. She is a rare breed: the Colorado native. And rarer still: one that doesn’t hike. (Gasp!) She does, however, enjoy martial arts, yoga, building community, mentoring newer therapists, and eating Indian food. She has also been told she’s quite fierce, which she’s decided to interpret as a good thing.
