Strange Root takes audiences on a journey through pivotal political and social moments that have profoundly shaped the African American experience. It is now more important than ever to remember and honor the long journey that our ancestors took to bring us to where we are today. They have paved the way for us to continue to fight for freedoms and preserve hour rich and important history. Through acrobatics, dance and storytelling Strange Root takes audiences back in in time, shining a light on hard truths in American history.

    Entrance: The main entrance is on the east side of the new wing on Washington St

    Parking: Parking is allowed in the Safeway parking lot across the street and there is free street parking in the neighborhood. 

    Accessibility: ADA accessible at the west doors of the building, elevator to the theater level, wheelchair seats reserved.

    Admission: You must show your ticket confirmation or purchase a ticket at the venue; all seating is general admission, audiences will wait in a queue before entry to the show.
