Cynthia Giannini, the company director, aims to illuminate the profound essence of connection found in the moments shared through the language of tango, where time stands still within the conversation, and truth is revealed. Cynthia has devoted most of her life to her love of dance. After a 15 year career with the Joffrey Ballet she went on to train aspiring ballerinas. In 2011 she discovered Argentine Tango. Inspired, she began choreographing tangos and in 2017 won the official title of USA Stage Tango Champion. Founder of Intimo Tango and the Artists Amongst Us nonprofit, her vision is to support emerging artists in the growing culture of Denver. Dominic moved to Denver in late 2023 to direct the Intimo Tango School, infusing Colorado with twenty years of teaching, performing, and community-building experiences around the world. Following studies in Buenos Aires, he spent artistic residencies in Florence, Paris, Berlin, Kyiv, Moscow, Budapest, and India. Today, his vision is to cultivate Denver's thriving tango community into a global epicenter. While both are award-winning dancers of traditional tango, they enjoy exploring alternative music and contemporary approaches to the dance.
