Our Impact

The 2021 Denver Fringe Festival was the first live-and-in-person Fringe festival in Denver after our 2020 virtual launch and it exceeded our expectations in terms of artist, audience and community engagement!

  • We presented 22 different shows and 65 individual performances at four (4) venues in the RiNo/Five Points area
  • An estimated 150 artists/performers/directors/technicians participated in the festival as well as Denver Fringe Festival venue managers, stage managers and volunteers
  • All participating artists received a payout of 70 percent of their net ticket sales
  • Fifty percent of our performers were local to Denver and/or Colorado
  • Fifty percent of our performers came from out-of-state including NY, IL, CA and GA
  • A variety of performance arts were represented including original theatre and musicals, devised performance, solo performance, physical theatre, children’s theatre, magic and mentalism, aerial and circus, and immersive theatrical experiences
  • We presented an additional 16 shows as on-demand and live-streaming performances
  • We sold over 1,700 tickets -- 1,500 advance tickets online and more than 200 tickets at the venues
  • Kids participated in six free workshops at our weekend-long KidsFringe including clowning, improv, movement, playwriting and hula hooping
  • Families from the surrounding neighborhoods enjoyed an original musical for all ages in Spanish as well as a kids musical about the Greek Gods
  • Our KidsFringe also included two free story hours with the Tattered Cover as well as aerial performances by two local circus companies
  • Tickets were priced at $15 to promote accessibility
  • People of all ages and backgrounds took part in the Denver Fringe Festival

The generosity of our sponsors and donors make it all possible, and we are so grateful!
